Experience
- Summer 2025: Research Scientist Intern (PhD), TikTok (San Jose, CA)
- LLM Safety Alignment: Designed a hierarchical framework that uses persona-based and contextual-awareness agent to generate alignment prompts.
- Developed a multi-agent framework using graph structures to generate diverse prompts and responses, reducing model over-refusal through explicit reasoning.
- Spring 2022: Graduate Research Assistant, MURI VT-MIT-OSU (Arlington, VA)
- Developed a VR-based system to demonstrate the effectiveness of MANDA, a manifold and decision boundary-based adversarial example detection system.
- Implemented a VR-based visualization for FLARE, a robust model aggregation mechanism for federated learning systems, showcasing its resilience against Byzantine attacks.
- Summer 2019: Research Internship, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) (Livermore, CA)
- Optimized sparse computation kernels (SpMV, sparse triangular solve, sparse matrix-matrix multiplication) to accelerate algebraic multigrid solvers.
- Used CUDA programming on Volta GPU hardware. Integrated optimized kernels into the HYPRE library.
